Amazing Day!

 Friday 10:06PM

Hi, how have you been? It has been a while since I last posted, but I'm back. I have a lot to unpack from today because it was a good day! It all started when I woke up and got dressed for the day. I was in the car with my mom and we talked about this song that the Weekend sings called Creepin' and how she has heard it from a movie called Sleepwalkers by Stephen King; not the actual song just the melody. So my mom made me do a whole research project to pinpoint the origin of this melody and I found it:

It is very haunting but it sounds great. Moving on. My mom started talking about how Yesenia is going to be a bridesmaid for a friend at work. Turns out the soon-to-be bride proposed and the wedding will have black dresses instead of white. I think that's really cool! Now, I am at school and I'm listening to "Pretty boy" by the Neighborhood because I can't get it out of my head. I am in the library with my friend and I start scrolling through Twitter and see Niall Horan talking about his new song he just released:

I had forgotten that he was releasing this song today so I instantly started listening and put it on a loop. The bell rings and my friend and I start walking to class when I notice some of our classmates going the opposite way. They start telling us that we have to go to a different classroom because she isn't there so we start to follow them. We get to class and do class things. Class ends and I go to Calculus and I learn. As I am heading to Government I remember that Omar Apollo is supposed to release a song today too so I start searching it up and listening; I instantly fell in love with it:

In Government, I took notes, then headed to Spanish where we watched Wakanda Forever. It's lunch but today is also the club fair and me and my friend Emma said we would help with Pharmacy's Awareness club so we head over. The juniors had it under control so we eventually left after just standing there for 10 minutes conversing with our fellow senior classmates. We go back to our table with our other friend Jennifer and eat and talk. Lunch is over and Jennifer and I depart from Emma as we head to advisory. We pass the bookmobile truck that I wanted to look at but never got a chance to do and she notices the coordinator of the Phoenix Library Teen Volunteer program that we were in for 3 months, well I was in it for 3 months because she turned 18 two weeks after she started it, meaning she was no longer a teen and couldn't be involved. We scurry past him and make it to advisory where I just talk with my advisory friends. Next, I go to pharmacy class. The teacher wasn't there yesterday or today so Emma and I finished our assigned assignment and then played several rounds of draw and guess. We do that until the final bell rings letting everyone know that the day is over. We meet up with Jennifer and renew our "Stranger" novels by Albert Camus for AP Lit. We then start walking toward Starbucks but their walk-up drive-thru only accepted mobile orders and pick up which would mean we have to purchase online and I didn't have any money in my debit 😞. We ended up going to Dunkin Donuts and I saw an old friend of mine from Freshman year so we talked to her while we waited for our drinks. Our drinks were done so we said our goodbyes and headed back to the school. We sat at a table in front of building one and waited for 10 minutes before we went to the 15th building.

We are now in El Zorro Theatre (that's the name of the school's theatre). We walk in 2 minutes before showtime and it is dark so we trip over some stuff as we pick out our seats. Zombie Prom starts and it is exactly what you would expect from a high school production, but it is everything I wanted to see. This play is actually a musical and I was sort of bummed when instead of singing they lip-synced to the Broadway recordings (at least I think it was Broadway, IDK). The beginning is always boring to me so I wasn't expecting much but I noticed the people who stood out from the rest of the cast because they had great acting skills. In no way am I saying that the others weren't good, they were, I just could tell who had more experience. I think the musical was only 50 minutes long and it started to get funny around the middle mark because there were just so many unexpected twists that were just so silly. The musical is over so my friends and I go to the front of the school where my mom is waiting. I say my goodbyes and my mom and I leave. We get home and sing karaoke. My voice hurts from being so loud and so does my back because I've been typing this post on my bed. This was a perfect Friday. I said several times today that my serotonin level was high because nothing bad happened and I truly just felt happy and carefree. That is mainly why I went into so much detail about today. I want to be able to remember what exactly made my day so special and fun. I'm going to got to sleep now, bye!

    1. Hey girl! Thanks for reading my posts and making the playlist for Ale's Days. I think it will be a good nostalgia piece for later when I went to remember what kind of songs I liked <3
